I don't know what is this old tool for. If you know, please let me know, I will appreciate it. Thanks.

Not sure if you figured out what the tool is for or not but I will tell you in case you haven't. It is a nail puller. The part that you believe to be a handle is not a handle. I will try my best to try to explain how to use it. Above the "claws" on the main body is where you hold the tool. You then put the one claw that does not move next to a nail head that you are wanting to remove from the wood. Then you extend the body and jam it downwards a few times to make sure the claw is below the nail head. Then you would pry the tool towards the part that you thought was a handle. This will make the other part of the claw to close around the nail head and grip. Keep prying in this direction and it will pull the nail out of the wood for you. These work great when you know how to use and are used to it. Let me know if this explanation helps.
